Where VC Cameras & Audio are used
Matching the camera to the depth of the room
Camera selection starts with the distance between the furthest seat and the display wall. In a huddle room or a small meeting room participants sit close to the lens, so field of view matters more than reach. In a boardroom, training room or auditorium the back row may be several metres away, and the camera needs enough reach to frame a face at that distance without the image breaking up.
EPTZ and PTZ: what the difference means in practice
An EPTZ camera pans, tilts and zooms electronically within a wide fixed lens. There are no moving parts, which suits small rooms, wall-mounted positions and spaces where the camera has to stay out of the way. A PTZ camera uses a motorised head with an optical zoom assembly, so it physically moves and magnifies, and that holds detail at distances where electronic cropping begins to soften. The range we supply covers both types, and optical zoom goes up to 30X.

Common questions
Should I choose an EPTZ or a PTZ camera for my meeting room?
How much optical zoom do I actually need?
Which AI features do the cameras support?
Can you supply the microphones and room audio as well as the camera?
For SHRITECH to confirm — 12 items
- Which AI features the video conferencing cameras actually support, and on which models or tiers. The page now states only that AI features are present; no specific behaviour (auto-framing, speaker tracking, presenter framing or any other) is named anywhere.
- Whether the up-to-30X optical zoom applies to PTZ models only, and what the zoom and field-of-view figures are for the EPTZ models. The page attributes 30X to the range as a whole, matching the catalogue, and does not attribute optical zoom to EPTZ units.
- Camera and audio model names, plus the authorised brand list, so feature tables and comparison copy can be added later. No manufacturer or brand name appears on the page.
- Whether any supplied conferencing device holds certified-device status for the major unified-communications platforms. No certification of any kind is claimed on the page.
- Which signal-processing functions the DSP range covers (for example echo cancellation, room correction, gain structure). The professional audio section now describes the signal chain generically because no DSP feature list is available.
- Maximum room size or seat count each audio conferencing configuration is rated for, and the microphone pickup radius, so room-size and coverage guidance can be made specific instead of being expressed as a planning approach.
- Whether wireless audio conferencing units are battery powered, and their rated operating time per charge.
- Warranty duration, AMC options and what post-installation support covers. No duration, SLA, response time or guarantee is stated anywhere on the page.
- What the free site visit actually includes (room measurement, cable survey, acoustic check, network check), so the opening section and the CTA can describe it accurately rather than in general terms.
- Whether SHRITECH offers remote monitoring or management of installed conferencing rooms.
- Written confirmation that named clients may be referenced on product pages, if client names are to be added to this page later. No client is named on the page at present.
- Whether an indicative price band or 'from' figure may be published for conferencing room packages. No figures appear on the page currently.
